Pamela Anderson Wants Love Island To Be Cancelled For Good

Following the tragic death of Love Island's Mike Thalassitis, Pamela Anderson has waded into the debate about reality TV - and her viewpoint might surprise anyone who saw her on Celebrity Big Brother just a few years ago...

51-year-old former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has appeared in her fair share of reality TV shows in her time. Not only has she appeared as a contestant in the UK's versions fo Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice, she's also taken part in Bulgarian and Indian versions of Big Brother and both the US, French and Argentinian versions of Dancing With The Stars.

Nonetheless, Pamela has come out in support of those who want to see reality TV such as Love Island banned completely. In a series of emotional tweets, the actress suggested that she was pressured into her reality appearances and that she didn't actually enjoy them.

Her words were met with mixed reaction from her followers, with many pointing out the fact that Pamela had been happy to take her pay cheques from reality shows over the years - most recently on the French version of Dancing With The Stars in 2018. However, many of her other fans agreed with Pamela, voicing their support for a total ban on reality TV.
