It’s not exactly been the best year for dating - but some romances have managed to blossom against the odds. Love Island series 3’s Montana Brown has revealed that she found love last autumn, when the UK was in its second lockdown. She was reported to be dating her new man in January and has now spoken about their relationship for the first time.

Speaking to New magazine, Montana revealed:

Mine and Mark’s relationship was born out of the second lockdown. I feel like good things always come when you are not expecting it. It's been lovely to feel in a good headspace. Last year I convinced myself that I didn’t want to meet anyone - I'd be on my own forever instead, but he came along when I wasn’t looking.

Who is Mark O’Connor?

27-year-old Mark is an ex-professional rugby player who now works as a real estate executive. He also has ‘a proprietary interest’ in a London gym, which is thought to be where he originally met Montana. He’s also said to be the heir to ‘a huge development/construction firm’.

Back in January, after Montana and Mark were pictured walking hand-in-hand on the beach in Barbados, a friend of Mark’s told the Daily Mail:

He used to be out of shape and is now very much in shape. He's a very wild bloke to go on a night out with, drinks a lot. Very good fun to be with.

Montana Brown relationship history

While Montana found fame on Love Island in 2017, she didn’t find lasting love in the villa. She split from Alex Beattie in August 2017, not long after they left the villa. She went on to have a two-year relationship with model and fellow influencer Elliott Reeder but they split in January 2020.
