Twitter can be a dangerous place for celebs and Ellie certainly got on the wrong side of some fans after wading into a furious debate between Piers Morgan and plus-size model and body-positivity activist, Tess Holliday.

Thirty-three-year-old Tess, who weighs over 21 stone and wears XXXL wardrobe, has recently appeared on the front cover of Cosmopolitan magazine as she works to advocate people's right to eat whatever they want without being 'fat-shamed'. Whilst many praised Cosmo's decision to put her on the front cover, others have expressed a worry that it 'glamourises' obesity.

Ellie is one of the more notable faces of the ITV2 reality dating show, Love Island, who single-handedly earned herself an army of followers after the 2018 finale. Just like the other Islanders, Ellie rocks a dream bod and a golden-brown tan, which the blonde bombshell isn't afraid to hide as she shows herself off on her Insta page.

One of the most outspoken commentators against Tess Holliday is Piers Morgan, who wrote an open letter to Tess, saying that the 'morbidly obese' Tess needs to lose weight. Piers wrote: 'The bottom line is that there’s nothing remotely powerful or inspiring about a 5ft 3in person breaking the scales at 300lbs (136kg). It’s just a guaranteed pathway to sickness, misery and possible death. So I urge you to stop pretending your body is radiating some great "positive image" to the world. It’s not.'

Piers Morgan isn't exactly known for keeping quiet when it comes to sharing his opinion with the world (usually by taking to Twitter to brew up a stir), so it isn't the first time Piers caught himself in a rut with the sassy model, where she hit back at Morgan several times, mockingly arguing how "obsessed" he is with her, placing the obsession down to being "into thicker girls and [being] too afraid to admit it".

This letter has sparked a Twitter storm between Piers and Tess - and Love Island's Ellie Brown has also decided to get involved. It's safe to say fans couldn't be any more divided about the dilemma. Check out the video to see what she had to say, and why some of her fans aren't too happy...
