Amy Hart may not have found lasting love on this year’s series of Love Island but she won’t let that stand in the way of her dreams of settling down and starting a family – even if that means going a somewhat unconventional route. This week she’s revealed her bold plans for becoming a mum…
Former air hostess Amy Hart had a tough time on Love Island this summer. After settling down early with Curtis Pritchard, the pair seemed like the new Jack and Dani until Curtis broke her heart by betraying her after the Casa Amor twist and eventually recoupled with now-girlfriend Maura Higgins.
After Amy made the brave decision to walk out of the villa for the good of her own mental health, she has remained single now that she’s back in the real world. However, that doesn’t mean that she’s putting her dreams of starting a family on hold as the 26-year-old revealed she’s planning to freeze her eggs next year.
She told The Sun: ‘I have been thinking about freezing my eggs for a while and I've decided to do it next year. It is one of my New Year Resolutions. I have a rough age in mind. If I'm still not with anyone when I'm 35 I would like to do it on my own although I may end up doing it earlier than that. That age isn't set in stone.’
When it comes to who would father her future child, Amy says that if she’s still single when she’s ready to become a mum she would consider having IVF treatment either with a sperm donor or with one of her ‘gay besties’.
However, Amy hasn’t given up on finding true love – as she’s set to appear on the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating alongside Dean Gaffney, James Lock, Amy Childs, Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Olivia Bentley. Amy admitted that she’s a huge fan of the show, saying ‘to join the agency really is a dream come true, and hopefully it’ll help me find The One!’
