However, at the Love Island Christmas Special, which was filmed in November, he revealed that he was in a relationship with someone new - though he kept tight-lipped about her identity.
'I've got a girlfriend but you guys don't know her,' he told his Love Island 2018 castmates. Despite this, most of us Love Island fans thought we had it sussed as we assumed Alex was talking about Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller, whom he'd been rumoured to be dating.
However, Alex's new post confirms that his new girlfriend is someone else entirely - and she might be somewhat familiar to the most avid reality TV fans out there...
