Mike Thalassitis tragically died at the age of 26 in March this year and while ITV2 producers tried to show their sympathies at the end of last night’s show, it’s evident that some members of the public have grasped the opportunity to cash in on the ex-reality star.

Both Amazon and eBay were discovered to have merchandise branded with either, ‘Muggy Mike’ or or ‘#muggy’ however eBay have since declared to The Sun online that all items have been removed.

“These items have been removed in line with our policy relating to the sale of any item that seeks to profit from human suffering or tragedy.”

Many fans were quick to react and show their disgust at the online swindlers. One user said, “I don’t know how people can sleep at night peddling this kind of rubbish after what happened to poor Mike.”
