Love Island fans have been looking forward to seeing Jack and Dani on the Love Island Christmas special which is due to air on Monday 17th December on ITV2. The special, which was filmed in the last couple of weeks, prior to the shock split, will see Jack and Dani reunited with some of our favourite 2018 Islanders as they all live under one roof again at a festive retreat. Even more awkwardly, ITV premiered the trailer for the episode during last night's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - around the same time Dani broke that she and Jack were over. The trailer sees them looking totally loved-up and exchanging gifts beside a Christmas tree.

Jack and Dani had also completed over three months of filming for a fly-on-the-wall reality show which was set to air in the New Year. Although fans worried that the break-up would mean the show getting cancelled, it seems that it will still be going ahead - which could end up being a bittersweet experience for both the former couple and their fans.

But whilst these two shows are at least pre-recorded, it looks like Dani and Jack will have to put their relationship issues to one side to work alongside each other in January. It was recently announced that they had jointly landed a gig presenting from the red carpet of the National Television Awards in January.

A spokesperson for the NTAs revealed to Cosmopolitan: 'Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham will continue in their roles as hosts of the Red Carpet and Backstage and all our social media channels on the night at the 2019 National Television Awards.'

Honestly, we can't think of anything worse than having to work alongside our ex six weeks after breaking up...
