Who is Priya Gopaldas?
Priya is a 5th year medical student at UCL who spent February this year working on a COVID intensive care unit. She has one year left of medical studies and then plans to specialise in orthopaedic surgery. She says she's looking forward to her time in the villa as it'll be 'absolutely different' to her job.

Priya's crush
In her pre-Love Island interviews, Priya revealed that she has an unusual celebrity crush. She said:
This is a very strange answer but Boris Johnson. I have a soft spot for him. It’s the confidence but he is a total sweetheart on the inside and that’s what I like in a boy. He’s the prime minister, very driven but then on the inside he’s a cuddly bear. I also love his blonde hair, that does it for me!
Each to their own… But since there's probably little chance of the PM making a surpriseLove Island entrance, which of the villa boys does Priya have her eye on? She said:
Matthew is my type. He’s tall and I like his Irish accent. He seems really intelligent and I think we’ll get on.
Priya also said 'cheeky' Teddy Soares and 'spicy and attractive' Dale had caught her eye. While it looks like Dale may be dumped from the Island before Priya even arrives, both Matthew and Teddy are currently single so she could well be in luck!
