Lava Wing Challenge 2022

As reported by The Manc, one of the most exciting events to happen in Manchester is the Lava Wing Challenge, which is to be hosted this year by Food Review Club and Clifton Chili Club. This is considered ‘the hottest wing eating challenge in the UK.’

The spice level is truly daunting with the Lava Sauce being strengthened over a 12-month period to create a concoction so strong that it apparently tastes as its name suggests quite fittingly, like lava.

The rules are quite simple:

  • Eat 8 Lava Wings as fast as possible
  • Wait for 2 minutes afterwards as the spiciness washes over you
  • The first person to finish their 2 minutes is awarded the champion
  • No milk or water is allowed during the competition.

Needless to say, this contest is not for the weak-stomached. If you would like to participate, grab your ticket to Wing Fest and sign up on the day.
