With the cold winter having firmly set in, we could all use some variety and excitement in our favourite comfort food orders. KFC is giving all its chicken loving fans just that! The fast-food company is set to bring back one of its super popular menu items of all times.

As reported by Nation’s Restaurant News, KFC is bringing back Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps across all its restaurants nationwide starting on February 6. Find out all the details about this latest return here.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps

KFC has finally obliged one of the demands that many of its fans have had for years: the return of KFC Wraps. The returning menu item, Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps was first introduced by the brand in 2014, and called KFC's Twister Wraps back then.

As per KFC’s press release last, there have been over 42,500 mentions of KFC wraps by fans on Twitter in the last 2 years alone. KFC has been testing the chicken wraps in certain select stores in Atlanta since last year, and now it is available for all of you to try as well.

Fans can purchase two KFC Wraps for just $5. The wraps come in two new delicious options:

  • The Classic Chicken Wrap, a hand-breaded Extra Crispy Tender, crunchy pickles and creamy mayo, wrapped up in a warm tortilla
  • The Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap covers an Extra Crispy Tender in a flavourful mix of KFC coleslaw, spicy sauce and crispy pickles

KFC looking to bring in a new generation of customers

As per the report, KFC’s Chief Marketing Officer Nick Chavez states that the brand wants to invite a new and younger customer base through its latest menu launches. He is quoted as saying,

I think it’s fair to say that our core customer, the customer who comes to KFC most frequently is older than the average QSR customer and that’s great, we love them and want to continue to serve them.
And we need to bring in new audiences and invite new generations of customers to discover KFC.

The wraps are expected to drive more lunch footfalls as it is provides great value for money on top of tasting delicious.
