As reported by The Sun, a woman who purchased some bananas from ASDA was baffled by a white furry spot on one of her bananas. She posted a photo of it to the Facebook group Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas to ask if anyone there had any idea as to what exactly she was dealing with.

Shopper gets the shock of her life

The shopper was definitely not prepared for the answers she got. Her post on the group read,

Anybody have any idea what this white spot is on my banana?
Brought from Asda yesterday.

Other group members offered their best guess as to what the soft white spot could be. And according to most of them, it was: spider eggs.

One person wrote,

That looks looks like a spiders egg sack. Put in a bag and tie it. I would take it back.

Another one chimed in to say,

Bought some bananas and got a free spiders nest with wee tiny spiders coming out of it

Shopper left horrified by the answer

The shopper responded to the answer with shock and horror. Not only does she seem put off by bananas, but she also expressed concern about the spiders hatching inside the house. The Sun quoted her as saying,

I can confirm said banana, well the bunch of them (put me off for life) are in the bin outside!
I may pour boiling water over them incase they hatch inside the bin and wonder into the house because I do NOT do spiders at the best of times! Let alone venomous ones!
May even burn my bin if I’m honest might be the best option (I am of course joking).
