1. Use milk and cornstarch: Mix milk and cornstarch then apply it directly on the carpet stain. Let it dry for a few hours then wipe the residue off and vacuum if needed.

2. Use milk only: Soak the affected spot with milk overnight and throw it in the washer the next day. This trick should remove the stain straightaway.

3. Use salt: If the stain is still wet then add salt and dab it with a wet piece of cloth. Repeat this process if the stain hasn't disappeared.

4. Use cream of tartar and lemon juice: Mix 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Let the paste soak for about 4 hours then wash the clothing.

5. Use Hairspray: Spray some hairspray on the affected spot and the stain should come right off. Repeat if necessary.

6. Use nail polish remover: Take a cotton ball and wipe the affected area with the remover then rinse it in the washer.

7. Use vinegar: First wet the stain with white vinegar then mix 2 parts vinegar with 3 parts cornstarch. Scrub the paste on the stain and let it sit for a few hours before you throw it into the washer.

8. Sandpaper: If you get stains on your suede clothing or shoes, try to remove it using sandpaper. Scrub the stain lightly to avoid damaging the suede.
