If you are often subject to very painful migraines, there is a miracle recipe that could ease your pain.
Getting rid of migraines can be a real pain. Fortunately, there is a simple recipe that could ease that pain. According to dietician and nutritionist Vanessa Rissetto, turmeric is perfect for treating migraines. ‘More studies still need to be done’ but ‘its anti-inflammatory properties may be beneficial in preventing migraines.’
Be careful not to overuse
The dietician recommends three teaspoons per day (between 400 and 600 milligrams) of turmeric for healing. But it shouldn't be abused - a 2007 study conducted by researchers at the University of Minnesota showed that the benefits of this plant on health are limited since the body has a hard time absorbing it. In addition, too large a dose of turmeric can cause kidney stones, acid reflux, diarrhoea and gas.
