This is What Happens to Your Body 10 Hours After Applying Nail Polish

Manicures can be moments of real pleasure. Although they are generally associated with a moment of relaxation, a manicure can on the other hand also have negative effects.

At first, glance, having a manicure is a particularly tempting experience, because it allows us to take a break and take care of ourselves. Whether it's a classic nail polishapplication, nail art or semi-permanent, this moment is pleasant and makes you feel better about your body. However, we don't really imagine that the products that we use are particularly harmful to our health. Why is this? Because they are not subject to strict regulations.

Scientists have found toxins in several varnishes marketed by some of the most popular cosmetic brands.

Nail polish: be careful with children

The endocrine disruptors found by the scientists are TPHP, or triphenyl phosphate, methanal and toluene. These toxic elements allow the varnish to be flexible and more resistant. However, when in contact with blood, these products can affect hormones, metabolism and reproduction.

26 women were tested for the study. Ten hours after applying nail polish, their HPTP levels had increased. One of the potential effects of HPTN is that it can have a negative impact on the development of children during pregnancy. Fortunately, there are cosmetic brands that market varnishes that do not contain chemicals.
