It's been almost 10 years since Shrek's adventures ended on the big screen. In 2010, "Shrek 4: Forever After" was released in cinemas and since then, we've only seen a spin-off with the Puss in Boots film in 2011. But the big green ogre is set to make a big comeback soon thanks to Chris Meledandri, the director of the 'Despicable Me' trilogy, who announced the good news during an interview with Variety magazine.
The voices of the characters should remain the same
The director is reportedly thinking about releasing a reboot that doesn't scream "just another sequel." He also wants to keep the original cast to ensure the characters remain consistent but we have yet to find out if Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey), Cameron Diaz (Fiona) and Antonio Banderas (Puss in Boots) will all agree to take part again.
