There’s no doubt that the Italian film ‘Life is Beautiful’ has been, and is still, a celebration of life and hope during times of suffering. In this case, the film took place during the Second World War.
The film (1997) was directed by Roberto Benigni and won three Oscars for its magnificent soundtrack, best actor and best foreign language film.
And these awards wouldn’t have been won had it not been for the incredible work and commitment put in by the actors who gave their entire soul to the film, just like little 5-year-old Giosué.
The actor who played Guido’s son was called Giorgio Cantarini and he was just a small fry at the time. Now, he is 27 years old and has a very interesting life as what he posts online shows.
Giorgio lives with one foot in Italy and the other in the United States and has also appeared in another Oscar winning film: Gladiator!
What a discovery! Check out the video above to see what little Giorgio looks like today!
