While traveling to a shelter and pet care center, Meghan Markle received a rather surprising remark about her pregnancy, by which she was very amused.
While there has been a lot of criticism surrounding Meghan Markle, it appears that the Duchess of Sussex lacks neither humour nor wit! This Wednesday, January 16, Prince Harry's wife was traveling to a shelter and pet care center.
There, she met several volunteers but also people who've been touched by the organization's work. Among them, an elderly lady, with whom the duchess had a rather amusing exchange. After greeting her, the lady speaking to Meghan Markle pointed out to her that she was a "fat lady."
A quick and witty response
A more awkward than nasty remark, to which the future mother responded with humour, opening her coat to reveal her belly: "I suppose I am!" During this trip, Meghan Markle wore a tight-fitting sweater dress that showed her baby bump.
