Prince William and Princess Kate are the next King and Queen of England. As such, they have certain responsibilities they need to fulfill as they help King Charles and Queen Camilla. However, it can be hard for the Prince and Princess of Wales to go on many royal engagements, as they have three young children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

As such, while the children were growing up, it was hard for Prince William and Princess Kate to take on a lot of royal responsibilities as they had children to look after, unlike Princess Anne, who undertook the most royal engagements in 2022 as all of her children are now adults.

Nevertheless, it seems that one royal expert has a strong opinion on the fact that Prince William and Kate are still not going on many royal engagements despite their children being more grown up.

Prince William and Princess Kate are still living in 2019

According to royal commentator Daniela Elser, Prince William and Princes Kate should up their game and go on more royal outings as their children are all school-age now. Elser wrote in her column for news.com.au that the circumstances have changed for the Prince and Princess of Wales since 2019.

In 2019, all three of their children were still under the age of seven, which can be difficult to manage. Elser explained:

Tiny humans who required constant supervision lest they fall into the Round Pond or manage to set some Restoration tapestry on fire.

However, she goes on to say that all three of their children are now at school, which should give the future King and Queen plenty of time to go on royal engagements:

But today all three of the Wales kidlets – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – are at school, leaving William and Kate with far more non-peanut butter-smeared time in the day to go out and fly the royal flag all over the UK.
And yet they do not seem to be doing that.

Prince William and Princess Kate have been on less than 50 engagements together

As many know, being a part of the Royal Family means you have to go to public engagements across the country and also overseas. So far, according to the Gert’s Royals website, Prince William and Princess Kate have only gone on 40 joint engagements.

Although, Prince William has been on 94 solo engagements while Princess Kate has been on 45 and we are over halfway through the year. As reported by Express, Prince William only went on 188 public engagements in 2019.
