Prince William’s cameo on Jeremy Clarkson’s show

According to The Times, the Prince of Wales is confirmed to feature in a future season of Clarkson’s Farm, Amazon Prime’s wildly popular countryside chronicle. The new season drops May 23, though William is not expected until the next-but-one series.

Prince William's cameo in the forthcoming season of Clarkson’s Farm might be brief, but it has certainly created substantial attention, given Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous comments about William’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle.

As reported by People, the controversy stems back to December 2022, when Clarkson penned a deeply offensive column in The Sun, writing he hated the Duchess of Sussex 'on a cellular level' and controversially fantasising about her public humiliation. This triggered immediate backlash, causing over 25,000 complaints.

Though Clarkson later issued a public apology describing his words as 'disgraceful' and said he was 'profoundly sorry', Harry and Meghan dismissed his attempts at reconciliation. As People reported, a spokesperson clarified, 'Clarkson wrote solely to Prince Harry,' highlighting ongoing tension.

Yet, despite this past drama, William seems unfazed and it set appear on his show.

Jeremy Clarkson’s bond with the Royal Family

Clarkson’s knack for controversy hasn’t deterred his increasingly close rapport with the British Royal Family.

For instance, Prince William’s involvement became public after an encounter at a Duchy of Cornwall farming event. During this meet-up, William charmingly relayed a humorous warning from his son Prince George to Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper, advising him to 'mind his language.’ Cooper, in return, expressed gratitude for the show's popularity, acknowledging the family's watchful eyes humorously. This came as in March 2025, Prince William himself visited Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire, publicly aligning himself with the show's cast.

This royal stamp of approval follows Clarkson’s notable integration into the broader royal social scene, such as attending an exclusive Christmas luncheon in 2022 with Queen Camilla and sharing a private jet back from the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2024 with Princess Eugenie and the Tindalls.

Further intertwining Clarkson and the royal circle was the surprising appearance of Hugh van Cutsem—William’s long-time friend—on a previous Clarkson’s Farm series.
