Prince William and Kate Middleton got married 12 years ago today! Their wedding was the biggest highlight of the year for the Royal Family as the two friends turned lovers vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. The 12th anniversary, often known as the Silk anniversary, happened to be a week before King Charles’ £50m more expensive coronation than Queen Elizabeth's.

Prince William and Kate Middleton mark anniversary with a lovely photo

Marking their 12-year-anniversary, the couple has issued a photo of them smiling with arms around each other. The photo is clicked by Matt Porteous as the couple ride their bikes in a sunny field. The couple posted the picture on their official Instagram account and captioned it:

Many Royal fans - who are upset with King Charles’ coronation dish - flocked to the comments section to congratulate the couple. One wrote:

The weird things Royal fans spot in the anniversary photo

While many Royal fans congratulated the couple on their 12 years together and praised the future King and Queen, some even pointed out a ‘unique’ feature in the photo.
