It isn’t uncommon for older siblings to refer to their younger siblings by pet names, and the Royal Family are the same. Prince George and Princess Charlotte reportedly have a sweet nickname for their younger brother Prince Louis. And they've also been given their own nicknames by their classmates.

'Big Willy' and 'PG Tips'

According to Express, citing Life and Style magazine, Prince George and Princess Charlotte call their little brother, Prince Louis, ‘Lou Lou’. They have apparently been doing this since the young Prince, 4, was a baby.

However, he isn’t the only member of the Wales household to have earned himself a nickname. According to reports, Prince George’s classmates call the future King ‘PG’ or ‘Tips’ because his initials are the same as the famous tea brand PG Tips.

Princess Charlotte’s nickname is slightly more conventional as her classmates apparently call her ‘Lottie’. It is said that their children's nicknames are such a hit that even Prince William and Kate Middleton have adopted them.

According to The Mirror, during their university years, Kate Middleton used to call Prince William ‘Big Willy’ or ‘Baldy’. In turn, Prince William reportedly called Kate Middleton ‘Babykins’ or ‘DoD’, as in ‘Duchess of Dolittle’.

Other Royals' nicknames

In Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex revealed to the readers the nicknames he and his brother Prince William have for each other. Prince Harry used to call Prince William ‘Willy’ while William called Harry ‘Harold’. There is an unproven theory circulating on why Prince William calls Prince Harry ‘Harold’ when his name is, in fact, Henry. It is supposedly linked to the Battle of Hastings in 1066, where William the Conqueror defeated King Harold II of England.

Former rugby player Mike Tindall revealed on the Rugby Joe podcast that he affectionately calls his wife, Zara Tindall, ‘Zoey’. The host asked the former England player whether ‘he would rather marry a Royal or win the World Cup’.

To which Mike replied:

Well, I’ve done both technically.

Before adding:

Will it be my wife that I’m marrying? Could we take Zoey out of it? Cause obviously if it’s my wife, I would marry my wife.
