The monarch has been blessed with many children, grandchildren, and a whole horde of great-grandchildren. While she may be too preoccupied, being Queen of the country, to play nanny to all her descendants, she has spent the most time with her grandkids, Princes William and Harry, Peter Phillips and Zara Phillips, Beatrice and Eugenie of York, James and last but certainly not least, Louise Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Queen’s favourite

People in this position normally choose not to disclose their favourites, but favourites they do have, and the Queen is no different. According to Cosmopolitan, Lady Louise of Windsor is actually her most beloved grandchild. Who is Lady Louise of Windsor?

She’s the 17-year-old daughter of Prince Edward, the youngest child of the Queen.

According to royal sources, the young lady has spent a great deal of time with her grandmother at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, which is why their bond is particularly strong.

Fulfilling royal duties

Furthermore, Vanity Fair reports that since the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Lady Louise has filled the void that was left by the Sussexes within the royal family. She has apparently invested herself in her royal duties and a source told Express.co.uk that she has ‘proved herself to be mature, diligent, and ready to work.’ Her characteristics greatly resemble those of Princess Anne, the Queen’s only daughter, who is said to be the most respected of all her children.

But apart from being a diligent member of the royal family, the Queen and her granddaughter share another thing in common: their passion for horse riding. The young royal participates in carriage driving competitions, and she also takes time out to go for long horseback rides with the Queen—an activity which the monarch very much appreciates.
