Love Island: Series 8 contestants who got back to their regular job

While many dating show contestants ditch their regular jobs and become influencers and take up new roles, these two contestants have returned back to normal jobs.

Other than finding love on TV, Love Island also helps people bag huge fashion and brand deals that make them a millionaire. Almost every contestant is scouted by brands for a few promotional bits here and there and only a few get back to their regular jobs. After Coco Lodge confirmed she will head back to her regular job after leaving the villa, these two Islanders have gone back to their regular jobs too.

Jay Younger

The Italian investment analyst who entered the villa as a bombshell and was briefly involved with this season’s winner – Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – has gone back to his 9 to 5 job after the villa stint. The Sun reported how the 28-year-old Scots hunk posted a photo with his laptop and asked his followers:

What would you like to know about investing?

This has definitely impressed a lot of fans. Some of them commented on Reddit:

He is so ridiculously good-looking. Wild to think he’s doing finances instead of modelling underwear!

I find this more attractive.

Jay, previously, also confirmed his intent to go back:

I don’t think my life will change that much, to be honest.
I’m going back to work on Monday and sure there’s some commercial opportunities out there in the short term, but I think longer term I’ll be back at work doing my thing and back to my day job.

Paige Thorne

The 24-year-old Welsh paramedic also returned to her regular job, confirms The Sun. She posted a video on her Instagram story and filmed herself at work, alongside her other colleagues. Paige had been adamant about still being a paramedic after the show and said she would do other things along with her regular job. She confirmed:

I've got meetings to go back to being a paramedic next week. I saw an ambulance with sirens on recently and I seriously had FOMO (fear of missing out).

So I am going to go back into that and do a little bit of some other opportunities.

She added:

I genuinely love my job. Why wouldn't I go back to it? I will do other things alongside.
