Love Island fans calling to remove this contestant after one episode for this reason

As Love Island, the raunchiest launch show ever, aired yesterday, Gemma Owen kissed the first bombshell of the series Davide Sanclimenti and fans were furious.

Picking 19-year-old Gemma Owen for the show was a bold choice for the show bosses. Many fans feel she shouldn’t be on the show as a teenager and looking for ‘the one.’ Gemma was blasted by many viewers for her ‘nasty’ attitude and attention-seeking habits as she got more screen time than other girls.

Inappropriate

And if that wasn’t enough, Gemma gave fans more to talk about in one of the dares she performed. As part of the new launch, the girls and guys sat around the fire pit, where they were urged to get to know each other through a raunchy dare game. Things took a saucy turn when Gemma was asked to kiss the boy, she fancied the most. While the public paired her up with Liam Llewellyn, she went on to kiss the Italian stallion – 27-year-old Davide Sanclimenti.

This enraged the fans beyond limits due to the eight-year age gap between the two. Fans took to Twitter and wrote:

If Gemma and Davide end up together the Ofcom complaints are gunna be WILD it’s just so wrong.
If Davide and Gemma couple up I'm writing to Ofcom.

Another shared:

I'm going to email Ofcom if Gemma and Davide get together, this should be illegal.

Tweets concerning explicitly their age said:

Don’t care, no one above 25 should be getting with someone who’s got teen in their age.

Another added:

I’m sorry but how old is Davide, because if he’s over 25 and he ends up with Gemma, I'm definitely complaining with OFCOM.

Too young?

Gemma gathered a lot of attention and criticism from the fans as following the show, they talked about having a minimum age limit for it to avoid such teenagers on the show. Viewers wrote on Twitter:

Why is a 19-year-old on the show? This is so sad.
Ngl the minimum age for Love island should be 21+ 19 is wayyyy too young.

This comes after Gemma made it evident on the show through her action that she was not impressed as she was paired with the Welsh student Liam. She kept on mugging Liam and refused to kiss him in the ‘truth or dare’ game. Her mockery of Luca’s surname also didn’t go unnoticed and former Islander Marcel Somerville tweeted:

Chloe Burrows added:

Gemma ur attitude STINKS mate #loveisland.
