Are Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott engaged?
Sam shared a sweet Christmas snap with Zara on Instagram. The two posed in front of their Christmas tree as they hugged each other and flashed bright smiles. Sam captioned the picture:
Beautiful day with a beautiful person ❤️
However, the photo has sparked speculation that the couple is engaged. Wondering why? Well, Zara has hidden her ring finger with her other hand urging fans to believe that the sweet post is more than just a Christmas update, reported EntertainmentDaily. Curious fans couldn’t help but question if this was the couple’s way of secretly revealing their engagement to the world. One fan wrote:
Ring finger is hidden so maybe they’re just not announcing it yet.

Was absolutely certain this was an engagement announcement for a second.

Neither Sam nor Zara have confirmed or denied the rumours, so the possibilities are endless. Could it be an innocent Christmas post or a hint to bigger things for the couple eventually?
Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott’s relationship timeline
Sam and Zara met in 2019 after they started talking on Instagram, shortly after she split from ‘toxic’ ex Adam Collard. The two were quick to make their romance ‘official’ on Instagram after dropping a string of flirty comments on each other's photos.
While it appeared that things were golden for the couple, Zara’s cheating scandal came to light. According to The Sun, Zara took part in X Factor: Celebrity and met musician Brahim Fouradi - who she went on to have a fling with.
Zara publicly accepted her wrongdoing and apologised to Sam for her ‘immaturity.’ After Sam ended their relationship, Zara made it her life’s mission to win him back. The Made In Chelsea star admitted just a few months later that he'd taken his girlfriend back. A source said at that time:
Not everyone can forgive or rebuild trust if their partner cheated, but Sam clearly loved Zara enough to work through their issues and take her back.
Despite this little bump in the road, the last three years have proved that the couple have gone from strength to strength. The two have never looked back to the horrific time they were not together. As such, an engagement on the cards might not be that out of order for the couple to solidify their relationship further.
