Ronan Keating was enjoying a day of golf in Hertfordshire when he received the news of his brother’s death. According to one of his friends, the former Boyzone singer ‘dropped everything’ to fly back to his home country and support his family.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Keating will be a judge on The Voice Germany, will the singer still be able to appear on the talent show?

Ronan Keating is a family man

Ronan Keating is reportedly very family orientated and is very close to his family. A friend reportedly told The Sun:

He is trying to stay strong for the sake of the family and is doing everything he can to support his sister-in-law and his nephews.

Indeed Keating’s sister-in-law and one of his nephews were also involved in the crash but were treated for ‘non-life threatening injuries’ as reported by BBC.

The friend added that Ronan is ‘devastated’ as anyone would be if they received similar news:

Ronan is just absolutely devastated.
He lives for his family. This is a cruel bolt from the blue.
