Amidst all the fun and drama, Ruchee Gurung was dumped from the villa this week as she failed to find a connection in there.

The most genuine couple of Love Island 2023, according to Ruchee

While the 24-year-old beautician may not have found a genuine connection in the villa, she has spilt the beans on who she thinks is the most genuine connection in the villa. According to The Sun, Ruchee believes that Whitney and Mehdi have the couple with the purest intentions and true potential.

She revealed:

I’m definitely rooting for Mehdi and Whitney.
Whitney really saw the vision from the start. She saw the potential and said, ‘I am going to show the world what I see.’ I’m so glad she made that choice.

Whitney and Mehdi currently receive the leat on-screen time together - however, they were the first ones to go on a date together. Ruchee, who was born in Hong Kong, was paired with Mehdi by the public and claims that she loves him but just not in a romantic way. She said:

I love Mehdi so much, he’s hilarious.

Love Island 2023 naughty school kids

The beautician added that apart from Whitney and Mehdi, Ella and Tyrqiue have great potential too - despite the ongoing love triangle with bombshell Leah. Saying that the two would make a good couple, Ruchee explained:

I’m rooting for Tyrique and Ella as well. They’re so cute together.
They’re like naughty school kids that like each other and flirt with each other.

After the shock recoupling, Ella and Ruchee were the two girls who were left single and vulnerable. The power to save one of them was given to the Islanders and Ruchee believes they made the right decision to save Ella. She said:

I thought that I would be disappointed, but I’m not because I tried my best and I was myself.
It didn’t work out for me and that’s completely fine.
I thought that Ella was going to get saved because she has a connection in there, I would have probably even nominated myself to go - I’m so happy that they chose her.

She added:

My journey was short, but it was sweet, so I’m happy.
