Love Island: Davide may not be Ekin-Su's 'biggest supporter' after all

Ever since leaving the Villa, Ekin-Su and Davide have hardly got time to see each other. Winning the show and the popularity after it was overwhelming for the couple. As the two are busy in their careers right now, Ekin-Su told Mirror that despite how rarely they see each other, Davide is her biggest supporter. She said:

It’s hard because we hardly see each other recently but we’ve gotten a lot closer than I thought, which is nice.

He’s my biggest supporter, he’s so proud of me.

However, recent statements by the couple contradict Ekin-Su’s belief that her boyfriend is her biggest supporter.

New host of the show

This comes after Maya Jama is rumoured to be ‘confirmed’ as the new host of the show. When Laura Whitmore decided to quit the show, fans desperately wanted Ekin-Su to host the show.

Even she wanted to be the host of the show but decided to wait until a year before she does that. Ekin-Su told The Sun:

I love her [Maya]. She's beautiful, funny, intelligent, sexy. She's everything that you'd look for in a Love Island presenter.

If it was a year down the line I would have done it, but because I'm so fresh I would like more training in presenting.

I want to do it the real way. I'd like to be so good and when I'm ready mentally I would like to do presenting for Love Island.

Clearly, Ekin-Su wants to someday make Love Island her own show.

Is he really a supporter?

Meanwhile, her lover boy Davide feels Maya Jama is the perfect fit for the show after Laura Whitmore. Taking little to no consideration about Ekin-Su’s feelings, he told Mirror:

I've done Love Island, I've done Love Island with Laura Whitmore.

If she's going to be the new host, she's going to be great, I'm happy for her, I'm happy for the ITV team.
