The Gallagher family is no stranger to controversy, and complicated relationships. Indeed, Liam and Noel Gallagher have known their fair share of family troubles in the years since they rose to fame with their band Oasis. Liam Gallagher, who claims the two brothers have put their differences to bed in order to come back stronger, has also had rather unconventional relationships with other members of his family. Indeed, he is estranged from his eldest daughter, Molly Moorish-Gallagher, who recently announced she is expecting her first child.

Liam Gallagher to become a grandfather
Liam Gallagher and singer-songwriter Lisa Moorish welcomed a baby girl named Molly in March 1998. However, the couple had been having an affair while Liam was still married to his first wife, Patsy Kensit. The 27-year-old model recently took to her Instagram to announce she is expecting her first child with her long-term boyfriend. Molly reportedly started dating Nathaniel Phillips, a Liverpool football player, in 2021. The Liverpool player opened up about his relationship with Liam Gallagher, who openly supports Manchester City. He told The Herald in 2023:
We've never really got into that. We have obviously met but only a few times. Every time I've met him, he's been fine with me, which is ideal as a son-in-law.
She shared pictures of the couple, as well as her cradling her baby bump and snapshots of baby clothes they have already bought. The caption reads 'Bulking season', along with a pregnant emoji. Liam Gallagher is therefore set to become a grandfather at 52 years old.
His estranged relationship with daughter Molly
The Oasis frontman is the father of four children: Molly, 27, Lennon, 25, Gene, 23 and Gemma, 13. He is currently embroiled in a legal battle over the custody of his youngest daughter Gemma, with her mother, American journalist Liza Ghorbani.
Liam Gallagher was reportedly estranged from his eldest daughter, Molly, for two decades, but they seem to have reconnected in 2018. The singer reportedly met his daughter for the first time that year, as he told The Mirror:
I’ve just never got around to meeting her. I’ve heard she’s alright, though. She’s doing alright. I never heard anything that she wanted to meet me.
The father and daughter met at the Red Lion and Sun pub, and they had a lot of time to make up for. A source explained:
Liam wanted to know all about Mollie’s life—and she had a lot of questions for him. After a few hours, it got very emotional. Liam shed some tears, and so did Mollie. It was heartbreaking in many ways, but it’s brought them together.
Although they did not know each other for the first twenty years of Molly's life, the pair seems to have grown close rather quickly. Just a few weeks after their first meeting, they attended the Rolling Stones concert together in London. Molly Moorish-Gallagher opened up about her relationship with her father in 2019. She told the Sunday Times:
I don’t have any anger. I’m actually thankful for how I was brought up with my mum and how my life’s been. I wouldn’t be who I am now if… it’s all happened the way it was meant to happen. We just got on and I’m happy to have him now.
