The new girl and Gaddafi connection
In the latest breaking news article, DailyMail UK has revealed that Maria Beregova, Ukrainian model of 22 years of age, was seen with Leonardo DiCaprio in St Tropez in July in a luxury yacht along with his celebrity friends. The picture of them together can be seen in their report.
She was married to Ahmed Masoud Abdelhafid, a property and fashion empire in Monaco and the grandson of interior minister to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, reports the publication.
She was close to getting divorced while partying with Leo and changed her name back to her maiden name during the course of the trip, reports DailyMail UK.
According to the report, Massoud Abdelhafid, her former husband’s grandfather, was regarded as the Libyan dictator Gadaffi's 'right-hand man' and 'walking encyclopedia'.
After Gaddafi was overthrown and killed, Massoud senior fled to Cairo where he was reported to have died from natural causes in 2015.
Who is Maria Beregova?
Beregova was raised in Switzerland, but currently lives in London where she is studying to inherit her family's pharmaceutical business in the future.
Beregova could be seen wearing a black mini dress with sky-high heels and expensive-looking jewelry. She, too, had posted pictures from Saint Tropez, and showed off her luxury room at Villa Belrose back in July.
It is still not known when the divorce was finalized, or if there was a settlement involved, but it is believed to have been finalized in Monaco where the pair had lived in happier days.
