James Bond: Here are all of the actors over the years and their real-life partners

Connery starred in 7 Bond films, and is often considered the best actor in the role.

However, the Scottish actor did not initially gain the support of Bond author Ian Fleming. Fleming thought he lacked the elegance required for the role.

Connery was married to Australian actress Diane Cilento from 1962 to 1973 and the pair had one son, Jason, together. 

Connery married his second wife, French-Moroccan painter Micheline Roquebrune, in 1975. They were married for nearly 50 years before he died in 2020.

Niven played Bond in 1967's Casino Royale, but he is often not considered an official big-screen 007 because that film was not produced by EON Productions.

In his one appearance, he played an older Bond. At this stage, the spy had settled down with a child and enjoyed playing the piano.

Niven married British actress Primula Rollo in 1940 and the couple had 2 sons together. She died aged only 28 on 21st May 1946.

Niven married Swedish actress and fashion model Hjordis Genberg in 1948 and the pair remained together until his death in 1983. 

George Lazenby was by far the shortest-lived big-screen Bond. 

He played the iconic character in just one film, On His Majesty's Secret Service.

Christina Gannett and George Lazenby got married in 1973 and were together for 22 years.

He later married American tennis player Pam Shriver in 2002. A nasty divorce followed in 2008 when Shriver claimed the actor was an abusive alcoholic. 

Moore featured in 7 Bond films.

Moore added his own flair to the character, including his use of Cuban cigars and his predisposition for safari suits.

Moore was famously married 4 times. He was married to actress Lucy Woodard from 1946 to 1953. He was then with actress Dorothy Squires (pictured) from 1953 to 1968. 

The actor was married to Italian actress Luisa Mattioli from 1969 to 2000, then married a petite blonde Danish socialite called Kristina Tholstrup in 2002. Kristina (pictured) was widowed when he died in 2017.

Though Dalton only appeared in two James Bond films, he remains a popular 007. 

He starred in The Living Daylights, and Licence to Kill.

Though the actor never married, he has one son, Alexander, with Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva.

Brosnan appeared in 4 Bond films: GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day.

Brosnan was keen to play in a fifth film, but after negotiations stalled, he stepped down in 2004. 

He was married to Australian actress Cassandra Harris from 1980 - 1991.

Brosnan then married his current wife, journalist and TV presenter Keely Shaye Smith in 2001.

They have 2 children together, and Brosnan has three with his late first wife Cassandra Harris.

Daniel Craig has played Bond in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, No Time to Die.

Craig faced some criticism due to his height and the fact that his appearance didn't match previous Bonds - specifically his blue eyes and blond hair. However, he has since won most over.  

Craig was married to Scottish actress Fiona Loudon for a couple of years, and the pair have a daughter, Ella, together (pictured). 

He married actress Rachel Weisz in 2011.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is tipped to be the next Bond.

Aaron is married to British film director and artist Sam Taylor-Johnson. Despite their 23-year age gap, the pair got married in 2012 and have two daughters together.
