Paul Burrell was Princess Diana’s butler when she was a member of the Royal Family. According to Burrel, he was her closest confidant. When Princess Diana died, Burrell released a number of books detailing his life as her butler.

Princes William and Harry called out Paul for his book as ‘cashing in’ on Princess Diana’s death and milking it. In a shared statement in 2003, Princes William and Harry claimed that Burrell had betrayed their mother and that she would have been mortified by his ‘breach of confidence’ as he published Diana’s private letters.

The statement read, as reported by Yahoo News:

We cannot believe that Paul, who was entrusted with so much, could abuse his position in such a cold and overt betrayal.
It was not only deeply painful for the two of us but also for everyone else affected and it would mortify our mother if she were alive today and, if we might say so, we feel we are more able to speak for our mother than Paul. We ask Paul please to bring these revelations to an end.

This will be the second time Paul Burrell will appear on I’m a Celeb in the UK but the former butler also appeared on the Australian version in 2017.

Paul Burrell could reveal more Royal secrets in the jungle

As mentioned before, this isn’t the first time Diana’s former butler will appear on I’m a Celeb. Burrell was on in 2004 and then a second time in the Australian version in 2017.

In the Australian version, Paul talked about his time as a royal butler to the late Princess Diana. In one episode, he talked about how Diana’s mother had abandoned her and that was when Diana’s anorexia began.

And Diana always thought it was her fault that mummy had left home. She blamed herself. That’s where her anorexia started.
She suffered with it all her life. She punished herself. It’s a tough gig, to have her mother walk. She came back into her life later

Naturally, many are wondering if the former butler will reveal more secrets about life as a royal butler, and more-so about members of the Royal Family.

I’m a Celeb fans are calling out Paul Burrell

It was to be expected that there would be complaints from fans about the upcoming contestants. It seems that Paul Burrell is the subject of the complaints, many calling him out for still cashing in on his ‘royal butler’ status even though he hasn’t been one for years, and also his relationship with Princess Diana.

They shared their disapproval on a post shared by I'm A Celeb that gave a small recap of Paul Burrell’s time in the jungle in 2004, where he finished 2nd.

Talk about craving fame!!!
The one like that should be done for treason, same as Harry Paul Burrows, making money of a dead woman
Can't believe he's back , stop letting him make money from a job he did years ago and now uses it for his own advantage
