In real life, this new episode of Grey's Anatomy is tinged with an unexpected scandal, after a former actor on the show spoke out about the alleged substance abuse of his co-stars during his time on the show.

Isaiah Washington makes shocking claims about life on set

It seems that the actor who played Doctor Preston Burke for two seasons on the show did not leave with happy memories. Almost fifteen years after he was fired from the series, the actor suddenly expressed himself on his Twitter account:

Hmmm... I wonder if I should tweet about the rampant alcohol and drugs used amongst my fellow cast mates and Producers of Grey's Anatomy and all of the swingers parties that took place?
I remained clean for 3 years and declined the after hours hot tub invites, because I was convinced that I would lose my contract with a urine analysis at any moment and lose my dear wife if I got in that woman’s hot tub.

Isaiah Washington had been fired over alleged homophobia

Isaiah Washington had a lot of things to say apparently, since he quickly tagged some American press Twitter accounts on his post, such as Yahoo, People, and TMZ. The actor, who spent only three years on set, had been fired following homophobic comments addressed to T.R Knight. The actor, who played the beloved George O'Malley, had been forced to come out a few days later.

This fight between Washington and Knight had led to a heated argument between the former, and Patrick Dempsey. More than a decade later, it seems Isaiah Washington has decided to pick up where he left off! Grey's Anatomy producers have not responded to the accusations yet.
