Stephen joined Gogglebox for its very first season back in 2013 with his best friend Chris Butland-Steed. Chris left the show in 2018 and Stephen then watched television with his mum, Pat.
Pat left Gogglebox in 2019, and sadly passed away earlier this year. Following that tragic news,Daniel, Stephen’s husband, joined the show in February 2019. However the couple decided to leave the hit TV show in 2023 as Stephen announced he was taking part in Dancing on Ice.
Sadly, Stephen and Daniel have announced they are going their separate ways and are divorcing, the former couple revealed the reason in separate statements.
Stephen and Daniel Lustig-Webb are getting divorced
As reported by The Sun, Stephen and Daniel announced on Saturday, April 20 that they are getting divorced after being married for six years. Stephen said that there is still ‘a lot of love’ between him and Daniel but sadly they have ‘grown apart’.
It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.
Daniel also released a statement confirming the divorce but is sure the two will ‘forever be friends’.
We’ve made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I’m sure we will forever be friends.
A look into Stephen and Daniel’s relationship
As per Heart, Stephen and Daniel got engaged in 2016 and married in July 2018 at the Chateau de Lisse in Lot-et-Garonne in France.
As reported by Manchester Evening, the former couple shared a £575,000 flat near the Brighton seafront but they moved in 2021. Both Stephen and Daniel are hairdressers and the two co-own a salon, thus making them business partners.
Despite the divorce, Stephen and Daniel have been spending time together. Indeed, the two have been spotted riding bikes and enjoying the spring sunshine down in Brighton. Daniel shared a video of the two of them biking with the caption:

It seems as though the two are being true to their word and have ended their marriage on a good note and are capable of remaining friends.
