Rumours about Alan Halsall's new relationship started in December 2024, when he returned from the Australian jungle after taking part in I'm A Celeb... Get Me Out of Here!. According to The Sun, the pair met at a hotel and country club where Ellie Dolan works, and Alan Halsall is a member. The actor's friends opened up to The Sun, explaining they were already getting serious. Indeed, the young woman's two children have met the actor's daughter Sienna, and everyone seems to be getting along. His friends explained:
Alan and Ellie are getting on like a house on fire. Things are hotting up between them now and they love the time they spend together. They’re frequently seen together in the local area and their relationship is the talk of the town.
The actor recently reposted a picture of his daughter with his new girlfriend, making their relationship official. Another source told the Mirror:
Alan is really happy. Ellie is a great girl and they have lots in common. And she gets on so well with Sienna, which is so important to Alan. Sienna is his world.

Alan Halsall first met his Coronation Street co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson in 2002. The pair officially got together two years later, and then married in 2009. They welcomed a daughter, Sienna, in 2013, but things turned sour between them, and they called it quits soon after. They split up for the first time in 2016, before giving their relationship another go for the next two years. Alan Halsall and Lucy-Jo Hudson officially got divorced in 2018. Speaking about his relationship with his ex-wife to OK! Magazine in 2020, the actor said:
We don't have a great deal of communication, it's only ever about Sienna and that's all it ever needs to be.
The actor found love again after his divorce. Indeed, he started dating Tisha Merry, also his co-star on Coronation Street, a set-turned-dating pool. They met on set in 2014, but they didn't get together until 2019, when she left the show. The pair quickly moved in together, and they dated for five years before calling it quits in February 2024. According to friends, their separation was peaceful, as they had reached the end of what they could achieve as a couple. A source told the Daily Mail:
Alan and Tisha had a lot of love for each other and had really similar interests, enjoying socialising and going on holiday together. But they started to drift apart and feel the pressure of making their relationship work get on top of them. They realised they weren't on the same page and splitting up felt like the best option.
