Stricken with aphasia, Bruce Willis keeps a low profile. And on Thursday, November 23, the actor made a rare appearance for a special occasion.

In March 2022, Bruce Willis' family announced that he was ill. Indeed, the actor suffers from aphasia, a loss of the ability to speak due to brain damage. At the age of 68, his retirement was also confirmed in order to preserve his health. Last February, the artist's family revealed that he was also suffering from frontotemporal lobar degeneration, a neurodegenerative disease that progressively destroys neurons.

Bruce Willis reappears

On September 25, his wife, Emma Heming, opened up about her husband's condition. She explained on NBC's Today show:

It's hard for the person diagnosed, it's also hard for their family. And it's no different for Bruce, myself or our daughters. When they say it's a family disease, it really is.

So Bruce Willis stayed away from the cameras. But on Thursday, November 23, the actor made a rare appearance. The woman who shares his life shared a family photo on her Instagram account on the occasion of Thanksgiving. Present in the shot are Bruce Willis and his wife, Emma, Demi Moore, whom he divorced in October 2000; their three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn, born of his marriage to his second wife; Derek Richard Thomas, Rumer's partner; and Jake Miller, Scout's boyfriend.
