While Coca-Cola remains one of the dominating companies on the carbonated drinks market from as early as the 19th century, they have decided to take a truly unexpected turn regarding their future projects.
Having established themselves firmly in the carbonated drinks industry, their next move is something which has taken the world be surprise.
Previous successes have evolved from their other ranges which involved gearing their new releases towards the health conscious, such as Diet Coke and Coke Zero Sugar, and launched new flavourings such as Coca-Cola Vanilla and Coca-Cola Cherry, their next project sees the brand enter unchartered territory.
The new releases will be designed specifically as mixers and have been in the mixology process since March 2018. Since the beginning of the project they have experimented with over 200 ingredients to ensure superior flavour combinations that will compete well on the Mixers market provide a quality taste, best served with dark spirits.
For those more aware of the Coca-Cola heritage, this concoction may come as less of a surprise. From the early days Coca-Cola was combined with rum to form the iconic Cuba Libra and following this entered the Whiskey Coke.
Coca-Cola admit the aim of their latest venture is to branch into this sector of the market to allow more consumers to discover mixology and difference it can make to their beverages.
"Working with an inspirational group of global mixologists to create amazing flavour combinations, we hope Coca-Cola Signature Mixers open up the world of mixology to an even wider audience."
Following a recent consumer trial, Coca-Cola have decided on their final 4 flavours to carry on to production. Watch the video if you’d like to find out which flavours survived!
