In an Aldi store, a man walked in, took a television off the shelf and took it directly to the counter demanding a refund. Obviously, he didn’t have a receipt and so couldn’t get a refund. The man then improvised and went to shake hands with the manager. From afar, the cashier then assumed that this meant the manager was coming to approve the refund even though he didn’t have a receipt and so processed it.

The man then managed to very calmly leave the premises with the £330. Only then did the police see the security footage and put out a request for the man to come to the station. They also put a contact number online for anyone who came across the thief to use.
Even though this technique sounds clever, the man was wrong if he thought he wouldn’t ever be found. Talk about being caught at your own game!
