Wes Nelson has some advice for this year’s Love Islanders

He may not have found lasting love in the villa but Wes Nelson is undoubtedly one of the most successful Love Islanders in recent years. Since leaving the villa, he’s transitioned from reality star to successful music artist. In an interview with the Daily Mail this week, he shared some sage advice for the upcoming 2021 Islanders.

Wes’ advice for 2021 Love Islanders

Wes said:

It sounds so plain and generic but be unapologetically yourself. People have an idea of how they should be, or Islanders they've seen and they try and replicate that, but the show highlights people who are playing games. People respect people who are unapologetic with their decisions. Take a leaf out of my book and go for it, the public will forgive you.

Wes famously coupled up and did bits with Laura Anderson in the villa before having his head turned by Megan Barton-Hanson. While he was criticised by many for his muggy behaviour, he got the public back onside and Wes and Megan finished the show in fourth place.

Who is Wes Nelson dating?

Wes had a high-profile relationship with Megan for another six months after leaving the villa but they went on to split in February 2019. Since then he’s dated influencer Lissy Roddy and was in a relationship with 2019 Love Islander Arabella Chi for nine months until their split last year.

It’s not known if Wes is dating anyone currently. He said:

I've made the discovery that being so open and honest with relationships online didn't help with my mental health. And it didn't help with the relationship’s health. So for me, I keep everything private. I like to keep it to myself.
