The Wanted are set to perform together again for the first time in seven years later this month. They’re making their comeback at a special gig for Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal at the Albert Hall on 20 September. The gig—titled Inside My Head-The Concert—has been organized by band member Tom Parker who was sadly diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour last year.

The Wanted reunion

They’ll be performing alongside a number of other acts including Liam Payne and Becky Hill and the show will be hosted by Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay. Tom said:

It feels amazing. It's quite nice to be able to do something again that's not related to treatment. It's been a very sad eight months, so it's been nice to smile again, for me.

Meanwhile, bandmate Jay said:

We have been talking off and on for a few years now about getting back together... but have all been working on other projects at different times so it didn't happen. This is all about having fun with our mates, no pressure, just fun.

And there’s also more good news, even if you can’t make it to the Albert Hall—as The Wanted are set to go on tour across the UK in March next year. They’re also due to release an album of their greatest hits this November, which will also feature some new music. We can’t wait!

Who are The Wanted?

Made up of Tom Parker, Jay McGuinness, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes and Max George, The Wanted were originally together between 2009 and 2014. Their biggest hits included 'All Time Low,' 'Chasing The Sun' and 'Glad You Came,' which also found success in the USA.
