Fashion has no limits

The 40-year-old actor sees no boundaries when it comes to fashion and always loves to experiment with his style. As he revealed in this interview, he also likes taking inspiration from people who also don’t set themselves limits in terms of what they wear. British people just don’t care about traditional gender roles anymore.

'I think it’s very cool but it’s not new. Rock stars have been painting their fingernails black for ages; in the New Romantic era, men wore more make-up than women and had topped their hair even higher. When men do something like that, I think it’s great. It sends the message out into the world that masculinity does not depend on whether you have black or pink hair.’

Breaking the rules

The Beauty and the Beast star believes that men should break more rules when it comes to fashion and has an important message for people everywhere.

You have this one life and this once chance to be yourself. If that means you want to wear a dress, do that. Who gives a sh*t?

That’s what he loves in particular about modern society

The actor believes that gender roles in the world of fashion and becoming increasingly blurred, and he finds this very inspiring.

‘Whatever men and women wear is increasingly accepted, no matter what their sexuality or image is. That inspires me. Our culture allows that today. Masculinity does not depend on what you wear, but how you wear it.’

However you dress, that’s just a fact, not a problem. And that’s exactly what Evans loves about modern society, particularly the fashion world, which is becoming increasingly embracive.

‘I’ve always liked that about Germany. How liberal and relaxed the people are in this regard.’ Truer words have never been spoken!
