Ever since the show ended, people have been dying to know whether Whitmore would be making a return to host the show in 2022...
How much money is she making?
According to sources close to the show, Laura Whitmore offically sealed a £500K deal to return as the host of Love Island 2022. The insider confirmed that:
There has been lots of speculation that Laura might be stepping down, or that other presenters were being lined up for the role. Laura and show executives always hoped she would re-sign— it was just a case of making sure timings worked. She is excited to be going back to Casa Amor and seeing what dramas unfold.
In the past, rumours were going around social media that producers were contacting other well known media figures to take on the job. Everyone from Gemma Collins to Oti Mabuse and even former islander herself, Maura Higgins, were said to have been considered for the position.
Thankfully, as we think Whitmore did a fabulous job at hosting the show, the blonde beauty will now officially be continuing on with her role on the show.
What else is Whitmore working on?
The news comes after Whitmore was signed on to also work on Celebrity Juice alongside fellow captain Emily Atack. In a recent interview, Whitmore revealed who she would love to have make appearance on the show. She said:
I really want to have the Queer Eye team on—Tan France or Jonathan Van Ness. Any of them, actually. I'd love to get someone who maybe you wouldn't think would turn up to Juice, like Dame Judi Dench.
