Lily Allen is on the quest to reduce the taboos and stigma associated with masturbation and claims:
The only way to make taboo subjects no longer taboo is to speak about them openly, frequently and without shame or guilt.
The Smile singer mentioned the brand ‘Womanizer’ back in 2018 in her memoir ‘My Thoughts Exactly’ and has now become their ‘Chief Liberation Officer.’
The star is now leading a #IMasturbate campaign for the brand in order to raise awareness about sex positivity and female masturbation. Both Womanizer and Allen announced in a statement:
We want to challenge existing assumptions and myths with the #IMasturbate and invite people to reflect on their own, often negative attitudes towards this topic.
Allen added that sex toys tend to be a bit of a taboo topic because of its relation to female pleasure:
Sex toys are still seen as a taboo subject because they are related to masturbation and female pleasure. Female pleasure in itself is a taboo subject. The only way to make taboo subjects no longer taboo is to speak about them openly, frequently and without shame or guilt.
Lily Allen’s new Libertysex toywill set you back £89 but she admits that it’s worth every penny. The advert for the product shows a video of Allen rolling around in the bedsheets admitting:
Loving yourself should be the most normal thing in the world. We all deserve amazing orgasms, right? So let's be open about it...I masturbate, do you?
Allen also just recently announced her marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour. The two shared the news of their Las Vegas wedding but have otherwise largely managed to keep their relationship away from the public eye.
