Graham Norton will miss his own talk show for the first time in 20 years, but fear not as it is certainly all for the greater good.

The new host will take on full Norton responsibilities including entertaining the guests, involving the audience and of course the most prestigious of all tasks; manning the lever for the infamous red chair. The fate of a nation will be in someone else’s hands.

For those avid supporters of the Eurovision Song Contest, this may come as no surprise. For the tenth year running Graham Norton is due to return to his role as commentator and therefore will be out of country and preparing for the role in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Graham revealed that he feels entirely confident that the upcoming replacement “will do an amazing job”. But before audiences and new host alike get too comfortable with the new set-up, he sends a message of warning in true Graham style:

“I should warn him not to get too comfortable in my chair, though, because like a slightly fey terminator, I’ll be back!”

The line-up for the one-off episode will involve Paloma Faith, Luke Evans and Game Of Thrones and Star Wars star, Gwendoline Christie.
