Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick and Kate Brooks have welcomed their first baby!

The 44-year-old actress and her partner took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the arrival of their adorable newborn son.Michelle Hardwick posted two photos of the new arrival, the first one showed the star cuddling up with her son soon just after he was born, while the second showed Brooks cosying up to the sleeping bub named Edward ‘Teddy’ Peter Brooks.

The Hardwick captioned the adorable post:

On Friday 9th October, this handsome little chap entered the world. Edward “Teddy” Peter Brooks we are so in love with you 💙 #ourlittleTeddyboy

The couple were issued tons of support from their celebrity friends gushing over their new bundle of joy. Lisa Reilly commented:

CONGRATULATIONS… so much love to you all, he's going to be LOVED.

Gemma Atkinson also chimed in with ‘He's beautiful… congratulations to you all xxx.’

Michelle and Kate announced the pregnancy back in April, seven months after they tied the knot in Nashville. The cute couple met while they were working together on the ITV show Emmerdale with Michelle playing the role of Vanessa Woodfield and Karte working as a producer. The two fell head over heels for each other and announced their engagement back in December 2018.

The two had previously announced that they were going to be planning a low-key wedding abroad followed up by a reception with their friends and family back in the UK. However, come September 2019 the pair decided to elope in Memphis.

Come April the couple announced their pregnancy in an Instagram post stating that their dog Fred’s big brother duties would commence in October.
