Creators of Glee Set Up a College Fund for Naya Rivera’s Son After Tragic Death

The creators of Glee are coming together to set up a college fund for Josey, Naya Rivera’s little boy.

A tragic death

The sad news has affected people all over the world. Naya Rivera, who played the role of Santana Lopez in Glee, has unfortunately died. The 33-year-old woman was reported missing on 8th July after going on a boat trip on Lake Piru in California. She, unfortunately, died on the trip and her body was recovered five days later.

So many tributes have followed and are still ongoing. Only yesterday, the creators of Glee announced that they will be setting up a college fund for Naya Rivera’s son, Josey, who is currently just 4 years old.

The child was with his mother at the time of her death and apparently, she had just enough time to save her son from the water before disappearing under the surface.

Ensuring the best for her boy's future

The three creators, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, made the announcement on social media.

‘The three of us are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all,’ they wrote in their post.

Our hearts go out to her family, especially her mom Yolanda, who was a big part of the Glee family, and her song Josey.
