Chris Hughes and his girlfriend just got matching tattoos

Chris Hughes is one of the most popular ex-Islanders around. Over 4 years on from leaving the villa, he has two million Instagram followers, works as a presenter for ITV Racing and is soon to make his acting debut alongside Keith Allen and Vinnie Jones in Rise Of The Footsoldier: Origins.

And amid all his professional success, Chris has also had some good news in his romantic life as he’s recently started dating golfer Annabel Dimmock. Chris and Annabel are thought to have met at the Aramco Team Series golf event in London at the start of July and they seem to have been inseparable ever since.

This week, Chris posted a tribute to Annabel on his Insta page, writing:

Don’t know where to start. Last night of our first holiday away. I didn’t think I’d meet someone like this. As individuals it’s not normal to be happy every day, but I’m lucky I’ve found someone who gives me a reason to be happy every day, even on my worst days. It’s the closest feeling I’ve had to being in school again, when you crush hard and kind of don’t know what to do. The kind of girl, when I’d expect to get home from school and speak to on msn as the nerves got the better of me in the playground. I’m lucky, and I’m blessed, and I’m thankful 🖤

Meanwhile, Annabel revealed in a photo on her grid that the couple have got matching tattoos on their arms, of the date ‘08.08.2021.’ It’s been suggested that was the date they met, but it seems more likely it was the date they became an official couple, since the Aramco event was in July and Chris was already commenting heart-eyes emojis on Annabel’s posts last month.

It even looks like the couple have moved in together. Last night, Chris shared a clip of himself and Annabel tucking into a tub of Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream in bed to his Instagram Story, captioned: ‘First night in my new home.’ He also added a white love-heart emoji and tagged Annabel.
