At the same time every year, polar bears come out of hibernation and are ready to finally show themselves. One of the places this happens is in the Wapusk National Park in Canada. As the bears and their four-month-old offspring finally emerged, wildlife photographer Daisy Gilardini was there to capture this extraordinary footage.

117 hours waiting
This amazing footage did come at a price. The talented photographer had to wait for more than 117 hours in the freezing cold in Canada; or to be even more specific, this wildlife expert spent 13 days in the park and waited for 117 hours in front of the cave even though it was -50oC outside.
Chills guaranteed! Luckily, she walked away unscathed from this unforgettable experience. And as for us, we get to see the amazing results of her work in her video.
