The poor animal was overweight and covered in a thick layer of fur! Her owner suffered from Alzheimer’s and was no longer able to take care of their pet. The long-haired cat’s coat was in a very strange way. The fur had clustered together like dreadlocks and was in a pretty bad way as you can see in the video above.
Luckily, all it took was a visit to the veterinary clinic Animal Rescue League Shelter and Wildlife Centre to fully shave Hidey, and the poor, little cat quickly turned back into a beautiful feline!
Take good care of your cat’s fur
To take care of your cat’s fur, it’s important to regularly brush it, especially if they have long hair. This helps remove the dead fur and stops your cat from swallowing it. You can even get a special glove that brushes your cat when you pet them!
